The organization ceased operating when the System was purchased by the Spokane, Coeur d'Alene and Palouse Railway in 1927.

The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam.
